Welcome to Scribbles and Scraps!
My name is Sara and creative activities have always been an important part of my life. Some of my best childhood memories include music lessons, choirs, art class, library visits, crafting with my mom, and admiring her handiwork as well as that of my grandmothers. College studies of music and literature led to jobs with arts organizations and libraries and my continued involvement in music and theatre. A rubber stamping party hosted by one of my grandmothers sparked an interest in rubber stamping and card making that has now grown beyond a hobby.
Scribbles and Scraps is where you'll find my handmade greeting cards and other items. My projects are primarily hand-stamped but also include custom printed text, printed papers, embellishments, and paper shapes designed and cut with my digital cutter. I like to upcycle things like buttons, scraps of wrapping paper or ribbon, pages from old books or music, or old greeting cards. It's fun to give new purpose to interesting things.
I love creating custom designs for special occasions. It makes me happy that my clients choose to share some of my art with the people in their lives.
